Defending Champions League winners Liverpool travel to Austria on Tuesday looking to book their place in the second round and win Group E in the process.
A draw for Liverpool would see them qualify but give Napoli a chance to the top the group in the process. Victory for the Reds ensures they progress as winners. Napoli are widely-expected to thrash Genk at the San Paolo, with odds as short as 1.2.
RB Salzburg themselves would qualify with a victory but face a tough task if they are to do so.
Whilst Liverpool were only 4-3 winners at Anfield when these two met in the reverse fixture, Jurgen Klopp’s side did race out to a 3-0 lead before taking their foot off the pedal.
The Austrian side have an exciting attack but they are very vulnerable in defence. Neither of these sides kept a clean sheet in their first five group stage matches this season, but Liverpool have improved their record domestically in recent weeks.
With RB Salzburg being more desperate for the win, Liverpool are going to catch them out on the counter-attack and outscore the hosts this week.
The bookmakers have the same thoughts as the English Premier League side are odds on favourites for this but I can’t see anything but a Liverpool win.
Best bet: Liverpool to win is 1.77
