Zenit St Petersburg host RB Leipzig in an early kickoff on Tuesday in a very tight Group G.
The German side top the group after three games with six points, but that’s only three more than Benfica, who are bottom. Zenit and Lyon are in between, with four each.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side had to come from behind to record a 2-1 win at home to the Russian side two weeks ago in a game we were expecting the hosts to win comfortably.
RB Leipzig have had a number of players chip in with goals this season, whilst striker Timo Werner being in excellent form. I think the visitors will have too much in attack for Zenit to deal with.
What’s more, with Lyon hosting Benfica in a winnable game for the French side, who also host RB in the final group match. Extra incentive for Nagelsmann’s side to pick up three points on Tuesday.
I was hoping for slightly longer odds on RB Leipzig but I cannot argue with odds against for the side I expect to go on and win the group. They’re a worthy bet and one you can watch as they’re one of the early games.
